Backend Overview

Configuration

Go to System >> Configuration click to Store Locator and go to configure the extension

  • In the Enable Store Locator field, select Yes to enable the module
  • In the Page Title field, enter the title to display on page title
  • In the URL Identifier field, enter the URL identifier to display on URL
  • In the URL Suffix field, enter the URL suffix to display on URL
  • In the Enable Top Link field, select Yes to enable the link on top link
  • In the Top Link Label field, enter label of the top link
  • In the Center Point Latitude and Center Point Longitude field, default Google Maps will be displayed the position of two the fields
  • In the Map Zoom field, specify the zoom to use for Google Maps
  • In the Map Zoom on Searching field, specify the zoom Google Maps when searching the result
  • In the Zoom of Detail Map field, specify the default zoom to use for Google Maps
  • In the Radius Unit field, select options with two values (mile and kilometer) to display to users
  • In the Template email to owner store field, select template email when users contact to owner
Manager Stores

Go to Store Locator > Manage Stores, you will see the list of stores then click to store you want to edit

In the screen, edit page with Store Locator Information tab

  • In the Store Name field, type the name of store
  • In the Email field, enter the email field to display in the detail store page and when customers contact, it will be sent to this email
  • In the Street field, you can use the link to get address from Google Maps. Then the latitude and longitude field will be auto gen and save to database
  • In the City field, enter this field to display in the detail store page
  • In the State/Province field, enter this field to display in the detail store page
  • In the Zip/Postal Code, Country, Telephone, Fax, Website field, all the fields will be displayed in the detail store page
  • In the Other Information field, this field can set html code to display in frontend, so you can enter the hours open shop to this field

On Products tab

  • In this tab, you can select the existing products in store, so in frontend, the customers can search store by selected products in this tab
Import Stores

Go to Store Locator > Import Stores

You can download the example import file from the link in this screen. Then you can enter data as following format in csv file.

How to install Store Locator extension?

You can do following the instruction at Install Module

After installed the extension, I got an "Access denied" message when accessing the Configuration in Backend. How to solve this?

If you get this problem, please do as follows:

  1. Go to System > Cache Management and clear cache
  2. Log out from Admin Panel
  3. Log in back
How can I change the language of the extension?

You can translate the modules into other languages through one of the two following ways:

  1. Use Inline translation tool by going to the backend: System > Configuration > Developer > Translate Inline.
  2. Use CVS translation file: by default, the language of our extensions is English. If you want to translate it into other languages, please go to the folder \magento_root_app\locale\en_US\Magehit_StoreLocator.csv and copy this CSV file to your current locale folder, and then translate the text string in the second row.
